On the Coast you will find us in Hokitika, Greymouth, Whataroa, and Haast. In Christchurch, our branch trades under the name Trenching Dynamix. For this role you could be based either near Hokitika or in South Westland, eg Glacier Country.
On the Coast our roading teams help to keep our transport routes functioning; we manage, install, and repair water, stormwater, and sewer infrastructure; and we maintain our Districts’ parks, gardens, playgrounds, and reserves. We have developed an extensive working knowledge of the area and have developed strong relationships with our customers, clients, and suppliers.

You'll operate and maintain water treatment systems to provide safe, high-quality water for our Westland District communities.
Main work tasks include:
Assisting with Utilities Duties - Drinking Water- Water breaks & emergency work.
- Hydrant flow testing, including painting & reflectorized blue markers.
- Site reinstatement.
- Reservoir cleaning.
- Clearing access tracks.
- Flushing of all dead-lines.
- SW breaks & emergency work.
- SW Flap gate checks & clearing.
- Inlet checks and clearing.
- Sump checks and cleaning of grates.
- Hydro blasting maintenance on SW lines.
- Hydro blasting maintenance on wastewater lines.
- Wastewater breaks & emergency work.
- Manhole Lifting and inspection.
- Full Class 1 driver's licence
- Interest in providing a high-quality three waters (drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater) service to the community
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends if necessary
- A home base either near Hokitika or in South Westland
- Class 2 driver's licence and WTR endorsements
- New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure or any water-related qualification
