On the Coast our roading teams help to keep our transport routes functioning; we manage, install, and repair water, stormwater, and sewer infrastructure; and we maintain our Districts’ parks, gardens, playgrounds, and reserves. We have developed an extensive working knowledge of the area and have developed strong relationships with our customers, clients, and suppliers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key responsibilities include:- Assisting skilled tradespeople with their tasks, including but not limited to civil construction and maintenance work of our roading network.
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment from vehicles.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation on job sites to promote a safe working environment.
- Operating basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
- Carrying out site preparation duties.
- Following instructions from supervisors regarding daily tasks and project requirements.
- Always adhering to health and safety regulations to minimise risks on site.
- Assisting with the transportation of materials between locations as needed.
- Have a proven track record in civil work or willingness to learn
- Hold a current full Driver's Licence: preferably hold and maintain a Class 2 licence, higher licence classes and endorsements would be advantageous
