Experienced Foreman - Queenstown

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Foreman to join our residential building construction team.

The ideal candidate will have a NZ building qualification, a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. As a Foreman, you will oversee all aspects of residential construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain construction schedules, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Inspect work progress and finished structures to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
• Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction, and find effective solutions to keep the project on track.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to provide updates and address concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any incidents on-site.
• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment among construction crew members.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.

• NZ building, construction, project management or similar qualification at diploma level or higher (or equivalent overseas qualification assessed by NZQA),
• 2 years of experience working on the tools
• Previous experience as a Foreman or similar role in residential building construction is desirable
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, techniques, and safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Proficiency in computer applications, such as Google Workspace
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of the building code.
• Vast understanding of other trades.

• Pay range of $35 - $50 per hour
