Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | about the roleWe are looking for a capable Overseas Operations Manager to help deliver voting services to New Zealanders overseas, in remote locations, or to those needing extra support to vote. This is your chance to play a key role in one of the country's most important events - the 2026 General Election.
This is a fixed term role until December 2026.Salary $124 -$137kYou will collaborate with passionate professionals, work with key external partners, and ensure every vote counts. If you're a proven leader with a knack for logistics, communication, and team-building - we want to hear from you.The role is fixed term until December 2026 and will be located in either Wellington City or the Hutt Valley.
Key Responsibilities Planning and implementation of operational plans including logistics and workforce plans Recruitment and training of a team to support services and the wider Commission Finance and budgeting, ensuring plans are in line with guidelines and policies Running a large-scale event at pace.Mōhou ake | About youYou must have experience in operational delivery in large scale environments, ideally with leadership experience.
Previous Election experience would be an advantage. Overall, you must be a people leader with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with others located across New Zealand and around the world.You will demonstrate: Leadership, communication, and proven ability in relationship management Ability to build a diverse, high performing team Ability to plan and deliver an operational event to tight deadlines Good judgement and decision making.
