Operations Manager – Electrical Division

Our client is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Electrical to lead the day-to-day operations of their electrical division. This role covers project delivery, team leadership, compliance, and support for estimation across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations, job scheduling, and resource planning
• Ensure full compliance with EWRB regulations, AS/NZS 3000, and electrical safety standards
• Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure timely, safe project delivery
• Support estimation and quoting processes through drawing review and supplier coordination
• Manage operational budgets, labour, and materials
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electricians and apprentices
• Foster a strong health and safety culture
• Act as the main client contact for project updates and issue resolution

Ideal Candidate:

• Registered Electrician or Electrical Inspector (EWRB)
• Strong understanding of NZ electrical regulations and the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010
• Proven leadership experience in electrical operations
• Skilled in project coordination and quoting support
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Full NZ Driver’s Licence
