We enjoy the challenge of delivering patient centredcare in a fluid and dynamic multidisciplinary environment. Werespond to a diverse range of health and social needs, no two days are the same,as we provide a 24/7 service with six teams across theChristchurch Hospital Campus.

There will be an after hours component and some weekend work required in this role. In this role, youwill be responsible for:Social work assessment, monitoring and support of patients Triaging workloads to meet patient needs and service demandsAttending and participating in social work team and departmental activities, projects and staff meetingsParticipate in service development and quality assurance initiative/processesSupporting team needs with work prioritisation and deliveryWork in partnership with our Maori Health teamWorking across our teams to support service demandAbout YouThis role will see you working alongside different multidisciplinary teams so being a team player who can quickly adapt will be essential to your success, as well as the following skills/ experience:Competency in the use of digital technologyYou will be able to work effectively in teams and independently Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skillsThe ability to work within a Multidisciplinary teamThe ability to flex and adapt to meet work demandsKnowledge of te reo me ōna tikangaPrevious experience working in GPU preferred Proven experience in Women's Health Social work in an acute hospital setting Minimum 3 years experience practising in New ZealandExcellent communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all walks of lifeCurrent APC and NZ Registration is requiredOur service is committed to the professional development of our staff and offers regular ongoing development opportunities.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
