Chef De Partie

Mission Restaurant is looking for experienced Chefs to join our Team as Chef De Partie.

Residing in New Zealand's oldest winery, we are a restaurant that combines history and innovation, along with a desire to enhance our reputation around the Hawkes Bay and wider New Zealand food scene.

Executive Chef, Ricky Littleton, prides himself on running a kitchen that is a strong team environment, with more laughter than swearing… Having a menu that changes seasonally, including both old classics and modern twists, there are plenty of opportunities to learn and thrive.

The people we are looking for need to be:

• Dedicated to upholding our ethos of a tight knit team
• Enthusiastic about creating dishes to maintain our high standards
• Able to work well under pressure and keep up with our fast paced restaurant
• Willing to both teach and learn new skills
• Interested in developing menu ideas

• Daily food preparation of all items related to the menu
• Maintain high standards during busy services
• Assist the Executive Chef in menu development
• Daily stock ordering as required
• Control food costing and ensure food wastage is kept to a minimum
• Adhere to the Food Control Plan to upkeep the highest levels in food safety
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Perform any other tasks as requested by Kitchen/Restaurant management.

• Cookery Level 4 or higher
• Minimum 2 years in similar role
• Good understanding of cooking techniques
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to write and follow recipes
