About the RoleA fulltime position is available with the hours of operation for this position being an 80-hour fortnight, currently Monday to Friday between 7:00am to 5:00pm. As and when business requirements change, the service and service offering will adjust accordingly which may result in the hours of operation being adjusted.The successful applicant will be expected to fulfil all tasks associated within the Quality and Digitisation Clerk role i.e. digitise records, complete quality assurance activities, disclosure of health information to internal and external stakeholders, records management and maintenance and move between the functional tasks within the team with ease, prioritise and multitask and be open and willing when asked to support the wider records teams to meet the needs of our patients, stakeholders, and partners.

About the ServiceThe Clinical Records Department provides a critical clinical service supporting records management functions for many areas of the Waikato Hospital each day. These records (paper/electronic) must be reliably and readily available to internal stakeholders (Emergency Department, Wards, Outpatient Clinics, Auditors, and Clinicians etc.) and/or the patient directly. These records must meet the requirements set out in The Public Records Act 2005 and Archives NZ legislation.

About youWe are seeking a result driven, energetic and innovative customer focussed person with prior experience or exposure within information and records management, electronic records management, and data quality. You must have a commitment to work to a remarkably high quality and standard.
Applicants need to pay attention to detail and work to a high degree of accuracy.Applicants will need to clearly display strengths with managing multiple tasks, conflicting priorities, attention to detail and the ability to adapt at a moments notice.
Your command of the English language must be clear and concise.Previous experience using enterprise level electronic document repositories and automated digitisation software is essential (e.g. Microsoft 365 Suite, SharePoint, Tungsten Total Agility, or custom-built solutions), as well as an inherent understanding of the Privacy Act 2020, Health Information Privacy Code 2020 and Public Records Act 2005.
Experience in or knowledge of the hospital environment is expected. Please give a brief outline of your experience with each of these in relation to how it translates to this role within the required covering letter.
