Retail Assistant

Babies.co.nz is looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Part Time Retail Assistant to join our growing team in East Auckland.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping customers, working in a fast-paced retail environment, and being part of a supportive team. You’ll play an important role in creating a positive in-store experience for families shopping for baby products and essentials.

• Greeting and assisting customers with a warm and welcoming attitude
• Providing product recommendations and helping families find the right products for their needs
• Processing sales transactions and handling cash and card payments accurately
• Maintaining excellent product knowledge across our product range
• Restocking shelves and ensuring the store remains tidy, organised, and visually appealing
• Assisting with stock management and store presentation
• Supporting day-to-day store operations and assisting the team where needed

• Assisting with general administrative tasks
• Supporting online order processing and customer enquiries
• Helping maintain accurate records and store organisation

• Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred
• A confident and friendly communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently and within a team
• Professional presentation and strong work ethic
• Availability to work Saturdays

• Experience working in retail sales
• Knowledge of baby products or parenting products
• Experience using POS systems
• A current New Zealand driver licence
