Christchurch - Kitchen Hand/Assistant
Brigittes Sumner, has recently opened their doors along the esplanade in the beautiful Sumner. After a busy few months already, we are anticipating a busy summer and are expanding our team.
We have four established venues within our company already, with another set to open at the end of October- Aikmans Hospitality Group- and we can provide the room to grow and develop within our company, we are looking for people who are wanting to expand their career and take themselves and Brigittes Sumner to a new level.
Located on the Esplanade of Sumner, Brigittes is open Monday through to Sunday from 7am - 4pm (with the potential for additional hours for private functions or events during the evening)We are searching for kitchen hands and kitchen assistants to join our team and help to create an amazing experience in Sumner!
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to;- Clean all dishes, cutlery, pots, pans and equipment
- Preparation for the day ahead as directed by the chef in charge
- Keep all work areas tidy and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Control the use of chemicals in the kitchen
- Assist in receiving and sorting supplies and deliveries
- Follow systems and procedures in place for hygienic food handling practices
- Organise the disposal of rubbish
- Adhere to all legal requirements of the business
- Maintain the kitchen equipment
- Report any health and safety issues
- Clear communication within the kitchen and with the floor staff
- 20 hour minimum contract
- Consecutive days off
