Maintenance Technician - Commercial

THE ROLE:Based in Tauranga, this role involves completing various maintenance tasks and duties as directed by the Senior Operations Coordinator. You will be a critical part of the maintenance team, responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction and keeping the Senior Operations Coordinator updated on job progress.
This may include working on any Access site and performing a variety of tasks, including:
- Performing a range of building maintenance tasks – repairing buildings, doors, windows, timber framing
- Internal and external refurbishment of buildings
- Framing work, plasterboard replacement, minor plaster work
- Minor Interior & exterior paintwork
- Decking and cladding, hard landscaping e.g. fencing
- Carry out site inspections to identify and resolve issues as required
- Quoting on minor project works
- Coordinating staff & subcontractors where necessary
- Attending to after-hours calls and emergencies where required
- Completing all jobs to a high standard to mitigate callbacks
- Planning daily to tackle jobs as efficiently as possible
- Maintaining your vehicle and company equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
- Complying with all Health, Safety Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
- 2- 3 years of maintenance experience gained in a trade, construction, or related field.
- A full Class 1 driver licence
- The ability to work productively in adverse conditions.
- Strong communication skills to interact clearly with teammates, employers, and clients.
- Punctuality, professionalism, and strong time management skills.
