The role offers you the opportunity to work alongside a team of 12 SMOs, 4 trainee registrars, 11 non-trainee registrars, and a Breast Fellow, providing exposure to a variety of surgical specialties.The role includes training in a variety of procedures, and you will be actively involved in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
The position is accredited for training by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.About the Team/ServiceThe Department of Surgery is a large, diverse, and supportive team across Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals.
With 12 consultants, 4 trainee registrars, and 11 non-trainee registrars, the department offers a collaborative environment where you'll gain hands-on experience in a wide range of surgical disciplines.
This includes working with a dedicated Breast Fellow and a variety of surgical specialties, offering a rich learning experience.About youAs a Surgical Registrar, you will have completed your core medical training and will be ready to develop your skills in surgery.
