Business Development Manager

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and nurturing key client relationships. You will represent NZ Cleaning Supplies Ltd. in external meetings, identify and secure new contracts, and contribute to the company’s expansion and competitive positioning.

Working closely with the sales team and senior management, you’ll play a vital role in increasing market share and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Identify, approach, and convert new business prospects into long-term clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring retention and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present compelling quotes and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, providing insights to inform strategy.
  • Participate in negotiations and submissions for key accounts and tenders.
  • Resolve client complaints or concerns through prompt investigation and tailored solutions.
  • Regularly update and manage client interactions using CRM software.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide monthly forecasting updates.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets set by management.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across product lines.
  • Collaborate with other departments including finance, customer service, and operations to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients by coordinating internally to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in sales strategy and client engagement processes.
  • Provide regular sales insights and market feedback to support commercial planning and decision-making.
Key Experience
  • Familiarity with industry-leading cleaning and hygiene brands such as Tork, Multiclean, Ghibli, and Dulevo is advantageous.
