Glass Octopus is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to act as the strategic and tactical engine for a range of businesses - from high-growth tech companies to family-owned SMEs.
Reporting to the Founder, you will be the analytical storyteller for our clients. You wont just be looking at spreadsheets; you'll be translating data into compelling narratives that drive global growth. You won't just be managing ads; you'll be the architect of expansion, helping sustainable innovators and ambitious SMEs conquer markets across New Zealand, Australia, and beyond.

The Role (What you'll do)- Full-Funnel Management: Develop and execute digital marketing plans tailored to specific client goals (Growth, Brand Awareness, or Lead Gen).
- Data-Driven Narratives: Use analytics to identify trends and turn them into stories that resonate with customers and stakeholders alike.
- Global Expansion: Execute campaigns designed to take NZ-born brands into the Australian market and further onto the global stage.
- Channel Orchestration: Oversee execution across Paid Social, Search, and Email marketing with a focus on ROI.
- Strategic Advisory: Work closely with founders to ensure marketing efforts align with high-level business goals and sustainable missions.
Who You Are (What you'll bring)
We are looking for someone commercially minded and highly curious, with a knack for finding the "why" behind the numbers. You should be an analytical storyteller—someone who can dive deep into the data but surface with a clear, creative strategy that moves the needle.
- Generalist Marketing Expertise: Strong experience across the full digital stack (SEO, SEM, Paid Social, Automation).
- Narrative Flair: Ability to craft messaging for diverse sectors, from Ag-Tech and sustainable packaging to high-end fashion.
- A Proven Track Record: Experience taking businesses through growth phases or entering new international markets.
- Adaptability: Comfortable moving between the fast-paced tech world and the heart-led environment of a family-owned SME.
- Communication Skills: Able to explain complex digital metrics in a way that inspires confidence in business owners.
