We are looking for a driven, retail-savvy Sales Manager to join our team in Mount Maunganui. This isn’t just a floor-sales role; we need someone who can bridge the gap between our physical storefront and our digital presence while ensuring our operations run like a well-oiled drivetrain.
The Role
As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the heartbeat of the shop. You’ll lead the sales floor, manage our premium inventory, be responsible for workshop bookings, and keep our online brand as sharp as the bikes we sell.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Drive floor sales by providing expert technical advice on high-performance brands (e.g., Pivot, Trek) and components.
- Manage the day to day bookings and check in, check out process for our team of skilled mechanics.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Manage the ordering process, oversee stock levels, and coordinate our rental fleet and demo bikes.
- E-commerce Management: Maintain the website, ensuring product listings are accurate, up-to-date, and optimized for sales.
- Social Media & Marketing: Create engaging content (Instagram/Facebook) to showcase new arrivals, shop events, and community initiatives.
- Customer Experience: Maintain the high standard of service that has defined our business for half a century.
About You
You are a seasoned retail professional with a genuine passion for the cycling industry. You understand that a modern bike shop succeeds through a mix of face-to-face expertise and a strong digital footprint.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: A background in retail management, specifically within the cycling industry.
- Technical Knowledge: A Deep understanding of modern bike tech.
- Digital Proficiency: Experience managing the E-commerce platform Shopify and a natural flair for social media content creation.
- Operational Skills: High attention to detail regarding stock systems and inventory logistics.
