About the role
Job Summary:We’re looking for an experienced Intermediate Project Manager to support the delivery of a national technology programme. This role is ideal for someone who’s confident working with stakeholders, comfortable driving project activity, and able to keep delivery on track in a fast-moving environment.
We will be preferring candidates with immediate availability.
Contract Details:
- Length: 6 months
- Hours: Full-time
- Location: Onsite in Christchurch
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating and managing day-to-day project activities to ensure milestones and deliverables are met
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain clear communication, alignment, and expectations
- Supporting project planning, scheduling, reporting, and risk/issue management
- Providing structure and visibility to the wider programme team
- Ensuring project documentation, governance processes, and progress updates are maintained to a high standard
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as an Intermediate Project Manager in the IT (Information Technology) space
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and keep people engaged
- PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification
- Solid understanding of project lifecycles, delivery frameworks, and general IT environments
- Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Someone proactive, confident, and able to step in and keep momentum across the programme
- Must have valid NZ work authorization
