Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Depot Operations Coordinator to join our Auckland team at 52 Ascot Road, Auckland.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for coordinating the day-to-day performance of our busy depot and supporting the smooth operation of an 80+ vehicle campervan fleet.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong operational coordination skills, enjoys leading by example, and takes pride in maintaining high safety and customer service standards.

About the Role

Reporting to the Auckland Branch Manager, the Depot Operations Coordinator will oversee daily depot workflow and coordinate operational staff, fleet readiness, logistics, and health & safety compliance. The role combines operational leadership with practical day-to-day involvement across fleet coordination, customer readiness, supplier management, customer service and depot operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily operational workflow across the depot
  • Coordinate and oversee daily workflow and operational performance of Operations Assistants, Groomers, and seasonal staff
  • Ensure campervans are prepared, checked, and ready for customer collection on schedule
  • Monitor fleet presentation, cleanliness, and operational readiness standards
  • Coordinate in conjunction with the mechanic, vehicle servicing, repairs, maintenance scheduling, and supplier bookings
  • Assist with fleet logistics, vehicle movements, and turnaround planning
  • Make operational decisions to ensure fleet availability, customer readiness, and efficient depot workflow
  • Assist with staff training, onboarding, and maintaining operational standards
  • Lead day-to-day operational health & safety practices within the depot environment
  • Support incident response, hazard management, and operational problem-solving
  • Monitor depot organisation, stock levels, equipment readiness, and workflow efficiency
  • Lead on customer handovers and ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, mechanics, and internal teams
  • Assist with operational reporting, fleet tracking, and depot performance monitoring
  • Assist with continuous improvement of operational systems and procedures
  • Help manage operational pressures during peak tourism periods

What We’re Looking For

The successful applicant will ideally have:
  • Experience in campervan fleet operations, logistics, tourism operations, vehicle rental industries
  • Experience coordinating, training, or overseeing operational staff
  • Experience and comfortable using technology incl. Rental Car Manager, Slack, Trello
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and crisis management ability
  • Experience working within fast-paced operational environments
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Practical knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance coordination
  • Understanding of health & safety responsibilities within operational workplaces
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • A proactive and positive attitude with strong attention to detail
  • Full NZ Driver Licence

Alternative operational experience and transferable skills may also be considered for applicants who can demonstrate strong leadership, operational coordination, and problem-solving capability. Additional experience in first aid, incident response, operational safety, or fleet operations would be highly regarded.
