Aboutthe Role We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative and committed registerednurses with a passion or desire to work in a specialised area of Mental Health;to join the Forensic team.We aim to facilitateassessment, treatment and recovery by employing a holistic array ofinterventions to help people.
We are guided by relational security aspects ofcare to promote safety and protection for all. We offer an MDT approach tospecialised assessment and care for adults who are admitted through the courtsor prisons. We work within a frameworkof clinical governance and are a progressive service committed to providing aculture of ongoing professional development for staff through regular supervision,an excellent professional development and recognition programme (PDRP), regularin-service training and support towards external trainingAboutthe Team/Service Location Forensic inpatient units is a regional service with 19 male beds inPurehurehu and 24 mixed gender beds at Rangipapa.
Operating as a 24hour serviceat Ratonga Rua o Porirua Hospital Campus. Forensic inpatient services providetreatment, assessment and rehabilitation for patients who are required toundergo psychiatric assessment prior to a court hearing and also for thosecommitted to a mental health facility under the Criminal Procedures (MentallyImpaired Persons) Act 2003 or Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment andTreatment) Act 1992.Aboutyou We are looking for an innovative and committed Registered Nurse who has agenuine interest or passion for Forensic Mental Health Nursing. EssentialProfessional Qualification/Accreditation's/Registrations:Registration with the NCNZ as an RN.A current practising certificate.Successful completion of the NESP (Nurse Entry to Specialised Practice) .Active involvement and progression along the PDRP.Working at HealthNew Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is'the weaving of wellness'.
