Laundry Assistant

Full-Time | Manukau-Based Commercial Laundry

We’re a busy commercial laundry based in Manukau, and we’re looking for a reliable, energetic person to join our team as a Laundry Assistant.

This is a full-time position, working weekday shifts with occasional rostered half-days on Saturdays and public holidays (approximately once a month).

Your key responsibilities will include:

Lifting and sorting bags of soiled laundry

Loading and unloading industrial washing machines and dryers

Packing clean garments / writing delivery dockets

What We’re Looking For: A reasonable level of physical fitness – the role involves frequent lifting and standing.

A strong focus on safety, both for yourself and others.

Good English literacy and numeracy – you’ll need to read labels, count items, write delivery dockets, and keep basic records accurately.

Clear spoken English – strong communication is important for working effectively with the team.

Computer literacy – helpful, especially if you’re interested in leadership opportunities.

A valid NZ Driver’s Licence is an advantage.

NZ residency or a valid work visa is essential.
