Retail Store Manager
Global Wines and Spirits Ltd T/A Big Barrel are looking for experienced Retail store Managers, someone who is proactive, driven and enjoys working with & developing a great team of people.
We are looking for 2 full-time(Min 30 Hours) enthusiastic candidates with some retail experience to join our team in the following area
Big Barrel Otaki-42b Main Street, OtakiBig Barrel Taita-1123 High Street, Taita, Lower Hutt
This role (Retail Store Manager) includes but is not limited to:
Customer ServiceStore Cash-ups, and banking
Receiving/dispatching deliveries if required.
Work well independently – you will need to be highly organized and self-motivated and also work well within our close-knit team

Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies, and sets prices to assure a reasonable profit margin.
Ensure that ordered products are conforming and accurately invoiced when it arrives and recording the invoices into the POS system on a daily basis.
Periodically organize and participate in stock takes.
Establish and maintain a training program to keep all liquor store staff informed and knowledgeable of store products, and train staff in proper customer relations skills and Store techniques in an effort to maintain a high quality of service to the public.
Administer established retail objectives for the store, including: customer service objectives, operating plans, advertising strategies, and in-store improvements. Create and submit monthly report to the head office.Responsible for Day-to-day banking when necessary. Reconcile daily and monthly financial transactions.
To implement marketing strategies, and advertising the good and services. To execute & activate instore and national advertising and promotions including building displays as required.
Determine the Product mix and service Standards and responsible for in-store merchandising such as layouts, promotions, and displays.
Attend off- sale liquor training/conferences (if invited by Senior Management)Analyzing retail trends and profitability indicators.
Maintaining debtor’s accounts.
Operate an efficient customer and complaints policy.
Ensuring continued compliance with occupational health and safety regulationsTaking disciplinary action against staff as/if required to ensure workplace discipline.
Ensuring continued compliance with all applicable liquor/employment/health & Safety laws.
You need to be physically fit as there will be some lifting involved.
You must have a Duty Managers Certificate or at-least a LCQ Certificate. If no certification then min 2 years of retail experience is required. With Duty Manager Certificate, 1 year experience may be considered. You must be NZ Citizen or Resident to apply for this role.Further details are to be provided to selected applicants.
