About the roleICAFS is seeking a registered mental healthprofessional to join our Infant, child, adolescent and family specialty Team.This position will involve undertaking initial assessments to establish careneeds and potential entry to service, working with external agencies to improveand support care delivery to young people, family work, group work, educationdelivery and specific interventions specific to your skill area.
About theTeam/Service Location ICAFS is a community-based team that providespecialist assessment and treatment for 0 - 18 year olds and their families/whanau. We offer a range of therapeutic approaches as well as having twospecialist treatment teams, family therapy (with a screening team) andDialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
We have a large team of passionateclinicians, including social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, andpsychotherapists that you would be working closely alongside. We haveclinicians with a range of experience and are known to provide excellentsupport to trainees, interns and new graduates who are frequently workingwithin our service.About youThe successful applicant will be a clinical psychologist or registeredsocial worker.
You will be able to work collaboratively and supportively withother team members to ensure the equitable provision of appropriate assessmentand treatment. The person suitable for this role will also have excellentclinical and case management skills and be comfortable with mental healthassessment.
The ability to establish andmaintain excellent working relationships within the team, service, the DHB, thewider mental health services, and community agencies is integral to this role. SkillsPrevious child & adolescentcommunity mental health work history.

Ability to provide high qualitymental health assessments and therapeutic interventions.Experience in risk identification and management.Experiencein working with trauma, neurodiversity, challenging family systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively withinternal and external providers.Hold New Zealand registration and/orcurrent practicing certificate.Have the ability to work autonomouslyand also as an integral part of a dedicated, innovative and friendlymulti-disciplinary team.
