Night Shift Role – The Marlborough Boutique Hotel & Vineyard

The Night Shift role is an essential part of keeping our property safe, clean, and welcoming after hours. This position combines deep cleaning, security, and light administration, and is ideal for someone reliable, trustworthy, and proactive.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping (Deep Cleaning): Carry out thorough cleaning of the restaurant and selected public areas to ensure they are refreshed and ready for the following day’s service.

Security: Conduct regular checks around the property, ensure guest safety, monitor access points, and respond to any incidents or emergencies.

Administration: Prepare guest check-ins and check-outs, log reports, complete shift handovers, assist with simple reservations or emails, and maintain accurate records.

Skills & Attributes:

Reliable, trustworthy, and professional with strong attention to detail.

Able to work independently and take initiative during overnight shifts.

Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or security is an advantage.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Comfortable handling basic administrative tasks and guest service support.

Physically fit and able to manage cleaning duties as required.

Calm and composed under pressure, with good problem-solving skills.

Contract Details:

Duration: End of September – End of March (with potential casual shifts available in April and May)

Roster: Wednesday to Sunday nights, 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
