Grader operator
35 to $45 per hour (experience-dependent)
- Supportive, down-to-earth crew who back each other
- You hold a Class 2 Licence with WTR endorsements and can hit the ground running.
THE COMPANY:
This isn't just another job; it's your chance to jump on board with a leading Civil Construction company. Think steady work, a pipeline of exciting projects, and a team culture that backs you all the way.
They've built a strong reputation for delivering quality, on time, every time, and they're now looking for operators who take the same pride in their work. If you want to be part of a company that's going places, this is where you need to be.
THE GIG:
We're on the hunt for an experienced Civil Grader Operator who knows how to get the job done. Day to day, you'll be:
- Operating graders to shape, level, and finish roads, shoulders, drainage ditches, and surfaces.
- Keeping things smooth with routine road maintenance (think potholes, erosion control, and finishing touches).
- Taking charge of pavement treatments, overlays, and subdivision works.
- Using your skills to make sure projects are delivered on time, on spec, and to the highest quality.
This role is hands-on, varied, and part of a project with serious scope. You'll be based in Blenheim, working Monday to Friday with the odd Saturday or night shift as needed.
THE GOODS:
- $35 to $45 per hour (experience-dependent)
- Variety in the day-to-day - no two weeks look the same
- Ongoing training and development opportunities
- Full PPE supplied
- Supportive, down-to-earth crew who back each other
- Potential to secure a permanent role with a leading company
- A project with stability and long-term prospects
YOU'LL NAIL THIS ROLE IF:
- You've spent 2+ years mastering graders in civil or roading projects and know your way around a site.
- You hold a Class 2 Licence with WTR endorsements and can hit the ground running.
- Experience with GPS/Total Station gear? Even better—but not a dealbreaker.
- You've led crews or teams and know how to get the best out of people.
- Safety, reliability, and quality? That's your standard, not an option.
- You can pass a drug test and show up ready to represent the company like a pro.
- Above all, you take pride in your work, with a keen eye for detail and getting things done right.
