We’re on the hunt for a qualified workshop-based Heavy Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our hardworking team in Christchurch. At AW Mechanical, we specialise in the maintenance and repair of heavy trucks, trailers, and earthmoving equipment. No two days are the same, and we back our team with the tools, training, and support to do top-quality work.

• Diagnosing and repairing faults on trucks, trailers, and earthmoving equipment
• COF prep work, preventative maintenance, and compliance repairs
• Engine, transmission, suspension, and brake system repairs
• Working within a fully equipped workshop alongside experienced techs
• Keeping customers safe, compliant, and on the road

• NZ-qualified heavy diesel mechanic (or equivalent recognised in NZ)
• 3+ years’ experience in heavy transport
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Honest, dependable, and safety-conscious
• Able to work unsupervised and take pride in your workmanship
• A solid attitude and willingness to pitch in with the team
