Adventure Park Instructor
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, motivated person who loves working outdoors with great people skills for our Adventure Park Instructor position in our Adrenalin Forest located in Bombay/Franklin, Auckland. If you love working with people in an outdoor adventurous work place, this might be for you.
This is a casual position and is suited for someone flexible around work hours and can be called in where bookings require during the school terms and then more work available on school and public holidays.
Personal Character and Qualities:
• Motivated
• Enthusiastic
• Hard-working
• Passionate about the outdoors
• Enjoys interacting and working with people
• Flexible
• Punctual
• Uses initiative
• Has basic experience in rock climbing or ropes (not essential)
Employment Duties: include but are not limited to:
• Greeting clients
• Safe fitting of harnesses
• Safety briefings and instruction
• Constant supervision of clients on the course, checking safety devices are attached and clients using the course as instructed
• Providing brief assistance where appropriate
• Client retrievals from the course using ladders and technical climbing equipment (training provided)
• Carrying out equipment safety checks on a regular basis
• Answering the phone and taking messages
• Park maintenance; painting safety cables, tightening platforms or adjusting activities, pruning or landscaping and basic gear maintenance
Requirements: Reliable transport
Valid New Zealand work permit
Remuneration: Advised on application
Start Date: As soon as possible for the right applicant
