Our Client: Is a a leading Property and Building consultancy, known for their expertise and commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence.

The Role: As a Senior Associate - Structural Engineer, you will:

 •  Lead the Structural Engineering team, providing support to the Director in team management and development.
 •  Provide accurate and comprehensive structural engineering services to various clients, including commercial and residential property owners, schools, and government organizations.
 •  Oversee structural design from concept development to Building Consent and For Construction documentation.
 •  Collaborate with project teams and consultants to ensure effective project delivery within budget and to the highest standards.
 •  Mentor and support less senior team members, contributing to the team's performance and capability.

Requirements:

 •  Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering (BE/BEngTech)
 •  Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) through Engineering NZ (Essential)
 •  Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience in the construction industry
 •  Demonstrated experience in project management and leading engineering teams
 •  Strong technical expertise in structural analysis, NZ Building Codes, and industry standards
 •  Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
 •  Experience and thorough understanding with the New Zealand build code and regulations

Key Responsibilities:

 •  Develop structural concepts and designs, including calculations, sketches, specifications, and design reports.
 •  Oversee production of structural drawings and documentation for consent submissions and construction.
 •  Monitor project progress, budget adherence, and quality standards.
 •  Lead project reviews, client meetings, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
 •  Contribute to business development activities and maintain client relationships.
