H&k transport Limited is small, busy company, contracted to Mainfreight which is one of the biggest transport and logistics company in New Zealand , is currently looking for class 4 and class 5 Truck driver. You must be physically fit as it may involve hand loading/unloading freight into shops or residential areas to meet customer demands .
You maybe required to work in the weekends and do night shifts So you must be flexible, punctual and reliable. You must also have good communication skills both written and oral.
Key responsibilities:-
• operate truck legally and safely
• complete pickup and delivery dockets
• Keep truck clean and tidy
• Keep it road legal ie rucs , rego and cof etc
• Load and unload safely
• able to use taillift and pallet jack safely.
• awareness to Health and safety standards.
Pre-requisites requirements:-
• Valid class 4 and class 5 Licence with dangerous goods endorsement & osh licence .
• Must pass drug and alcohol test
• pass pre-employment Background check ie licence ,ACC and criminal history check.
• Knowledge of NZ loading code.
• Knowledge of dangerous goods in terms of segregating and transporting them.
• Knowledge of load security.
• Knowledge of NZ road codes
• General freight experience preferred.
What we offer :-
• competitive wage rate of 30-35 dollars per hour depending on level of experience.
• Consistent hours with minimum of 30 hours guaranteed per week.
• Great team environment.
• Opportunity to up skill.
