The role. What you will do.
We are seeking a Monitoring Technician to join a specialist water utility monitoring team working on critical water and wastewater network monitoring projects. Our monitoring programs underpin large infrastructure upgrades and provide real-time data on network performance, water quality and consent compliance.
Our team is highly regarded in the industry and over many years have developed proven systems to deliver quality results for clients.
Our Auckland based Water team works on a variety of water and multidisciplinary projects across the south of the North Island, whilst also working closely with our Wellington and Christchurch based colleagues.
This is a physically active, mostly outdoor role. A typical day will see you installing and servicing high tech gadgets in environments such as wastewater manholes, stormwater pipes, above ground instrument cabinets and treatment plants. The nature of the work means you can’t be afraid to get a little dirty from time to time while you work on interesting technical problems.
You’ll be working with a small crew or alone and safety won’t be compromised. The site-based aspects are balanced with office based organisational work including checking data, scheduling maintenance, assessing data trends, and reporting on the performance of your sites to engineers, scientists, and managers within our Water team.
