We are currently seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to our staff, encompassing both desktop support and systems administration functions, ensuring smooth operations of our IT infrastructure and delivering high quality support.
What does the role look like?
• Provide timely and effective technical assistance to end-users, including logging, tracking and troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Maintain and manage end-user desktop devices, and install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and usability
• Administer and maintain IT systems and end-users across multiple platforms, and coordinate monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure. Implement best practices for system configuration, monitoring, back-up and security
• Respond to IT incidents and service requests and escalate incidents as necessary
• Develop user documentation for IT procedures and processes, to empower end-users to troubleshoot common IT issues independently
• Collaborate with team members and end-users to enhance system performance and security, and implement IT security policies and procedure to protect sensitive data
• Keep up to date with industry trends and best practice, and improve process efficiency where possible
Requirements
• Proven experience working in an IT support role with Desktop support background essential
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive attitude
• Strong computer literacy with experience in Microsoft programs, and Google workspace preferable but not essential
• Strong oral and written communication, with great interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
