Due to demanding interest, we have the exciting opportunity for a Senior Kainga Coach – Whare Ora to join our team based in Tuwharetoa.

As our Senior Kainga Coach – Whare Ora, you will conduct Whare Ora Home Assessments to ensure

that our homes meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and comfort. You'll be at the forefront of empowering homeowners with the hands - on advice, knowledge and resources they need to maintain a healthy living environment. This will include facilitating educational workshops and training, sharing your expertise and advocating for Whanau in need by becoming their champion in creating healthy homes.

Your responsibilities include:
 •  You'll engage and communicate with various stakeholders, understanding their needs and finding common ground.
 •  You'll be instrumental in sourcing, capturing, and reporting crucial data to secure funding and support for our projects.
 •  Working closely with project managers and repair contractors, you'll ensure our strategies are implemented effectively.
 •  You'll play a key role in adapting and refining our processes, making sure we're always moving towards our vision of healthy, sustainable homes for our community

As the successful candidate, you will be:
 •  A reliable team member with a passion for supporting Whanau, Hapu, Iwi.
 •  A strong communicator, ready to listen, learn, and lead with kindness and compassion.

 •  Proficiency in computing, and a knack for keeping things running smoothly, whether it's data management or direct support.

 •  Hold a full drivers license.

Established in 2019, He Iwi Kainga is Tuwharetoa Settlement Trust’s dedicated Housing Strategy.
