You are responsible for effective, safe, efficient repairs and maintenance of the vehicle electrical systems, associated equipment, and a large range of plant items. Delivering on time and communicating exceptions is vital to ensure our customers are happy with our service.
Also, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing components, parts, accessories, and electronic systems in commercial vehicles and heavy diesel equipment.
In addition to the above you'll be responsible for the repair and maintenance of:
• Repairing, and replacing automotive electrical systems such as charging and starting systems.
• Repairing and replacing electronic systems such as electronically controlled gearboxes, instrument panels and vehicle computers.
• Operating hand and power tools. This requires manual dexterity and strong attention to detail to ensure all wires are correctly installed.
• Trucks and heavy trailers
• Ute, car and light trailers
We're looking for someone with:
• Hold relevant Auto Electrical Trade Qualifications Level Four or higher and the ability to upskill as technology advances.
• Minimum 3 years experience as an Automotive Electrician
• Have experience, knowledge and understanding to enable repair and maintenance primarily of commercial vehicles but also the ability to work on construction equipment.
• Possess strong diagnostic abilities and computer skills.
• Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
• Have good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long term relationships.
• A can-do attitude.
• Since the business is in construction industry, willing to work after hours and when required on weekends to meet project deadlines.
