Pact is currently looking for a FULL TIME Community Support Worker to work in our mental health residential service in the Wellington area.

The Role

Pact is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to work alongside people recovering from mental illness. We are seeking an individual who will inspire, encourage, be a role model, plus have excellent interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.

Your role will include coordinating meaningful activities, encouraging client participation, assistance with daily house tasks, and supporting individuals to set and achieve their goals. Further assisting in gaining and maintaining social, health, education, whanau and cultural reconnection.

1 X Full Time - 80 hours per fortnight
 •  Tuesday to Saturday (8 hours a day)-shifts starting from 8.30am and finishing at 8.00pm.

As we operate 24/7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend and awake night shifts.

Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to build and sustain working relationships with our client, staff and external agencies is essential. Previous professional experience in the mental health field is desirable.

A level 4 or other relevant qualification in mental health is also desirable but not essential. Otherwise, there is an expectation that you will be willing to start working towards obtaining a level 4 mental health qualification after your first year of employment.
 •  A full driver's licence and computer skills are essential.
 •  If on a work visa, this must be valid for at least twelve month
