SJ Allen Ltd are a family owned and operated business based in Redruth Street in Timaru.
We are seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated class 4 or 5 driver to join our team, based in Timaru or Oamaru covering North Otago, South Canterbury and the McKenzie Districts. With a wide variety of work, no two days are ever the same.
We are a 24/7 Business offering an afterhours call out service, this role is mainly Monday to Friday, but some weekend work will be required.
This role will include:
• Cleaning and servicing of residential and commercial septic tanks.
• Cleaning and spreading of dairy effluent stone traps and ponds.
• Servicing of commercial clients holding tanks and other areas.
• Commercial and residential water blasting and drain cleaning.
• And a variety of other work.
Previous experience would be an advantage but is not necessary as full-on job training will be provided for the successful applicant.
All SJ Allen staff are also trained in:
• Confined space and gas detection
• Working at heights
• EWP'S (Elevated Work Platforms)
• First Aid
• Permit Receiver's, Permit Issuers and Hazard ID
We are looking for someone who:
• Is enthusiastic
• Is focused on supplying the best service for the client
• Is self-motivated
• Is physically fit
• Can work well in a team environment but also out on your own
• Is keen to learn
• Is honest and reliable

The successful applicant will have:
• A current NZ Class 4 or 5 Driver's License
• DG endorsement (Not a must this will be provided to the right applicant)
• Be a current NZ Resident
• At least 2 years driving experience
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
