Working with the Radiology leadership team, and a team of roughly 20 MIT's the general charge MIT is responsible for the running of x-ray, fluoroscopy, mobiles, two rural departments and theatre.Whanganui Radiology is a small, friendly department.


Patient care is at the centre of all we do, and a smile goes a long way.
The general x-ray department has recently been rebuilt with four new Siemens DR x-ray rooms, (two in the hospital and two in the rural areas (Raetihi and Taihape)) and a new Siemens screening room installed.
We have two mobile x-ray units (Philips and Siemens) and two image intensifiers, both Siemens.
The department is also in the process of building a new MRI suit.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an advanced knowledge of all areas of general Radiology.
With a newly redesigned department, a plan to move to night shifts and the implementation of new AI roster writing software, we're looking for someone with strong leadership skills and ideas to help identify and implement new workflows within these current dynamic changing times.Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:5+ years' post grad experience in Radiology.Experience in building + sustaining collaborative working relationshipsPassion for service improvementAdvanced knowledge of general x-ray systemsGood working knowledge of word and excelWhanganui is a great little progressive city with a friendly chilled vibe.
