The Next Bar & Eatery is located at the picturesque Fairway Bay Marina in Gulf Harbour. We boast a simple but awesome eatery-style menu, a welcoming atmosphere and great place for locals to come and connect. We love what we do, have a great work culture and lots of fun along the way.
We pride ourselves in providing an amazing experience for every customer that comes through the door.
The role: We are looking for a full time Chef, up to 40 hours per week to work Wednesday through to Sunday each week. Our excellent reputation for offering the locals a fun place to eat, drink, meet up and socialise means we are busier than ever, and we need your help to make sure we keep up the good work!
If you're our perfect candidate, you will be a team player with a great work ethic. You will already have at least 1-2 years' proven work experience in a kitchen environment. You will have a confident and creative cooking style with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation and be a great communicator.
Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
• Menu planning, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
• Overseeing all kitchen operations.
• Coordinating kitchen staff and assisting them as required.
• Training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.
• Taking stock of ingredients and equipment.
• Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.
About You:
• Be proactive and a self-starter.
• Ambitious, driven, good sense of humour a must!
• Reliable and take pride in your appearance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with the team.
What we offer:
