Platinum Recruitment are excited to partner with Dunedin City Holdings Ltd (DCHL), to bring to market a newly created role of an Executive Assistant, supporting the General Manager. This is .5 FTE at 20 hours per week.

About the Organisation:

DCHL is the governing shareholder of eight subsidiary and associate companies that own and manage key assets that provide benefit to the city. DCHL's purpose is to achieve the best for Dunedin from its investments.

The principal activity of DCHL is to provide leadership and oversight of these companies on behalf of the ultimate shareholder, the Dunedin City Council. This is achieved via a Board of Directors with professional backgrounds including commercial operations, corporate finance, and investments.
Their role includes ongoing governance of the subsidiaries' financial and non-financial performance with a view to maximising value for ratepayers.

About the Role:

This role is to provide administrative, and general support to the General Manager and other key stakeholders by responding promptly to requests, document processing and general administrative support.

This will involve:

 •  Attendance at meetings, and the subsequent timely production of accurate reports from those meetings.
 •  A highly professional presentation is required along with an excellent standard of spelling and grammar.
 •  Regular liaison with key stakeholders.
 •  Ensure prompt attention to correspondence.
 •  Organising diary management, and travel.
 •  Managing timelines and following up of key deliverables and actions.

Skills and Experience:

 •  Excellent written and oral communication skills and report writing.
 •  Computer literate including MS suites (advanced word processing skills are essential).
 •  Relationship management skills and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders in board and senior management roles.
 •  A positive "can-do" attitude together with an open and inquisitive mind.
 •  Ability to multi-task and work with minimum supervision, manage workflows in a logical and timely manner and prioritise tasks.
 •  Willingness to take ownership of delegated responsibilities.
 •  Solutions focused and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and custom.
