Harper St Health is a family medical practice who has a committed and focused team of experts providing personalised health care to our community.
We are seeking a practice nurse Registered Nurse and/or Enrolled Nurse to join our busy, friendly general practice team, which consists of one GP, two Nurse Practitioners, two Receptionists and one Practice Manager. The ideal candidate would have a passion for practice nursing and preferably previous experience in Primary Care.
This position is a full time position of 40hrs, working Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.00pm. We would consider full time and part time applicants as this role may be offered as a job share to allow for collegial support and cover for leave.
This position would ideally suit a person who has: A Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with a current annual practising certificate
Completed cervical smear and screening training (preferred)
Current Vaccination certificate (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience with Medtech Evolution (preferred, but not essential)
Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and work as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
Able to perform a range of clinical duties including childhood immunisations & health checks, wound care management, chronic disease management such as diabetes annual reviews, advise to patient in relation to results following blood test, x-rays etc as well as procedures including.
Assisting with minor surgeries
Infection control
Cold chain oversight
Travel and flu vaccinations
Managing recalls and screening
Repeat prescriptions preparation
Applicants must be a permanent NZ resident/citizen or have a valid work visa.
