As a Graduate Environmental Planner in our Consents section, you'll be responsible for:

 •  Triaging and responding to enquiries regarding consent applications and permitted activities.
 •  Assisting customers with queries related to planning and resource consent processes.
 •  Processing small-scale resource consent applications with support from our experienced team.
 •  Conducting checks under the Resource Management Act 1991 to ensure the completeness of applications and compliance with relevant regulations.
 •  Providing support to the Consents Business Support team, which may include administrative tasks, loading and granting of consents, and other related duties.
 •  Assisting in the preparation for hearings or complex applications and providing support throughout the process.

Ideally the successful candidate will have recently completed, or about to complete, a tertiary qualification in Resource Management (or a related field) and looking to get their foot in the door. While some related work experience is desired, we like to set people up for success so you’ll be a leading applicant if you also have:

 •  Analytical thinking with attention to detail
 •  A willingness to learn and adapt
 •  Accurate word processing skills
 •  Practical knowledge of software applications
