We are looking for two Thai Cooks to join our team.
Requirements
• At least 3 years of related work experience, OR
• At least NZ Register Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR
• National Skill Standard Assessment Certificate Thai Cook Level 1
And
• Knowledge of Thai food ingredients
• Knowledge of Thai food cooking techniques
Job Description
• Designing menus, projecting food and labor expenses, and procuring food provisions
• Supervising the quality of dishes throughout the preparation and serving process
• Engaging in discussions regarding food preparation matters with a Manager
• Demonstrating culinary techniques and offering guidance on cooking methodologies
• Preparation and cooking of food items
• Explaining and ensuring compliance with hygiene standards
• Possibly recruiting and training staff
• Potentially overseeing the freezing and preservation of food items
Other Details
• This is a full-time and permanent position.
• Wage payment is $29.66 per hour, and you will be paid weekly.
• Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law.
• You will be working at 150 Bank Street, Regent, Whangarei 0112.
• We are open for lunch on Wednesday to Sunday from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm and dinner on Wednesday to Monday from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
• You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours).
