Position Title: Pasta/Rice Cook and Kitchen Hand
Location: 259 Coutts Island Road, Belfast, Christchurch 7670

Job Type: Full-time (part-time available too)
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pasta/Rice Cook and Kitchen Hand for our meal manufacturing company. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our pasta and rice-based dishes while assisting in various kitchen tasks to support the production process.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook pasta and rice-based dishes according to established recipes and production schedules.
• Ensure that all food products meet quality standards and food safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
• Assist in food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling meal components.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of the food products.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a similar role in a bakery / commercial kitchen or food manufacturing environment is preferred but not required (full on-the-job training will be given)
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Food safety certification is a plus.
Hours of work: 8:30am until 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Start Date: Wednesday 8th May 2024 / negotiable (could be sooner if needed)
