We are in search of a Trade Assistant who is eager to grow in the field of trade and become a part of our expanding team.
As a Trade Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our skilled technicians in the installation of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems. This position is perfect for someone who wants to begin a career with us.
Position Details:
• Role: Trade Assistant
• Position Type: Full Time, Permanent
• Location: Auckland
• Hours of work: 40 hours
Responsibilities:
• Able to perform tasks under the direction of HVAC engineers or technicians.
• Assisting to install and remove air conditioning systems in residential and commercial.
• Assisting with air conditioning repair works, maintenance and servicing.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation.
• Assisting with air duct installation, removal, and replacement.
• Complying with directions when picking up and delivering parts, materials, tools, and equipment supplies to the job site.
• Ensuring that all tools, materials, and equipment are in good functioning condition.
• Coordinating with team members to provide excellent customer service.
• Assist in performing routine maintenance of HVAC systems and related equipment including changing filters and cleaning coils etc.
• Assisting in Installing ducts and vents in walls, floors, ceilings, or crawl spaces as needed for HVAC systems
• Providing information to customers on topics such as energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and home safety
• Assisting in maintenance on ventilation equipment such as fans, blowers, ducts, dampers, & louvers
• Assisting in installing and removing Air Conditioning drain pipes.
• Cleaning Air Conditioning drain pipes using hand tools such as brushes, rods
• Inspecting drain systems to check clogs or leaks, using cameras.
HVAC Trade Assistance Requirements:
• Prior experience as a HVAC technician preferred but not required, full training will be provided.
• You have a willingness to develop skills and knowledge in HVAC
• You can work well in a team environment
• You should have physical fitness
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
