Seeking Carers and Healthcare Assistants L2-L4 to work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide quality care while earning well above industry standard rates and with the flexibility of choosing your own availability!
HCA Job Description:
To work effectively as a Healthcare Assistant under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide a high standard of quality care to residents.
To ensure residents are appropriately supported in their daily life including: hygiene requirements, socialization with other residents, orientation to
the facility, and responding to their needs.
Duties (include but not limited to): Completing delegated tasks in a timely manner without constant
supervision; Undertaking residents’ personal care tasks: hygiene requirements, grooming (shaving, brushing of teeth and hair), toileting, washing and
mobilising; Accurately maintain residents’ documents via electronic healthcare
records (eCase); Ensure Health and Safety compliance: use equipment safely, reports incidents, Accidents and near misses promptly, follow required policies and
procedures including infection control;
Role requirements (all levels): Have exceptional people skills with empathy and compassion for the
elderly and their families; Have a reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of the role, able to perform required duties (including lifting); Be able to use a computer/tablet (required to update work logs
electronically); Have an excellent level of spoken and written English and numeracy; Be reliable and honest with a positive attitude.
Level 4 role requirements - skills and experience: Level 3 requirements plus
Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent)
Dementia trained
Level 3 role requirements - skills and experience: Level 2 requirements plus
Level 3 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing
Level 2 role requirements - skills and experience: Level 2 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing
Medication competent
