We are currently looking for a Produce Procurement Manager to join our team. Your roles and responsibilities will include:
• Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
• Purchasing produce across multiple markets
• Maintain stock control of highly perishable produce
• Pricing strategy from purchase through to customer purchase
• Great understanding of produce and the ability to assess and maintain level of produce quality
• Schedule and oversee produce promotions
• Communicate well with produce department
We’re looking for someone with the following qualities:
• A passion for fresh produce and a good eye for quality
• Previous experience in produce departments is advantageous
• Experience with product buying and maintaining vendor relationships
• Experience with dynamic pricing
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Someone who can work independently and take decisive action
• Collaborate and communicate well with other team members
• Organized and efficient
In the Produce Procurement role, you’ll be accountable for the following measurables:
• Department gross profit margin
• Produce quality
• Stock levels
