New Zealand Petfoods Ltd is one of the largest petfood manufacturers in the South Island and specialize in making raw fresh and frozen products which are distributed nationally and through supermarket chains.
Our company operates an abattoir to source and slaughter various animals for our raw meat products. These products are then transported to our factory in Redruth, Timaru for further processing and packaging.
Adair Abattoirs is a busy rural abattoir approx 8kms from Timaru and comprises a small team of hard working people to process our animals. We operate a collection service from farms around the wider South Canterbury region for cull and injured stock.
This is a year round service and is not just a seasonal activity.
We are experiencing a period of growth within our operations and require an extra worker onsite at Adair Abattoirs who can offer the following:
• Boning and animal processing, including knife skills
• A Firearms License
• A good attitude, reliable and conscientious work habits
• Cheerful and friendly
• Physically fit and able to perform lifting tasks
• Is organized with great communication skills
• Is flexible to respond to processing requirements and schedules
• Has a desire to learn and take direction
• Can work successfully in a team environment
A good pay rate dependent on skills and experience.
