Our Bar Manager is heading overseas later this year, so we're looking for someone to help lead our growing & award winning team into the next chapter.
We're big, busy, fun, family owned & fiercely independent (so we serve only what our team are proud to, not what anyone tells us or pays us to) all day bar and eatery at Smales Farm, Takapuna. Just 10 minutes from the city, loads of parking, and a bus station on site - so transport is SUPER easy.
We're a freehouse with 15 taps, have our own micro brewery, a hand picked wine list, possibly the best gin & tonic in NZ, bespoke cocktails, hand pull for real ale, and we regularly visit our suppliers throughout NZ to connect, learn, and indulge.
This is a full time position. We offer flexible rosters, great pay, free meals, reasonable finishing times, 50% staff discounts, discounted gym memberships, monthly training, and an annual 2-night (staff-only) F&T Summer Festival (because christmas parties are so pre-covid), as well as ongoing professional development and growth opportunities.
We know that good hospitality starts with looking after our people, so we place a high value on our team culture and we're guided by our core values of manaakitanga and kaitiakitanga.
Hours are negotiable, but we're looking for a commitment of 35+, with an expectation of 40 hours per week being our preference. Most of our team are work 4 days on / 3 days off, including at least one weekend day per week.
Generous remuneration package, including negotiable perks - car park, phone plan, food & beverage allowance, discounted gym memberships, etc.
Formal qualifications not required, but experience managing high volume and high performance teams is a must.
