BAKERS! (2 positions) - Location: Napier

 •  At least 3 years' of baking experience OR a relevant qualification at level 4 or above.
 •  Meet a minimum standard of English language:
** From an English-speaking country: Canada, Ireland, UK or the USA, and you spent at least 5 years
working or studying in one of these countries or in Australia or NZ, you will need to complete an

approved English language test. Alternatively: ** If the migrant is not from one of these countries the low skilled worker will be required to meet a min
standard of English through one of the following: Level 4 IELTS, TOEFLIBT 31 overall, PTE Academic 29

overall, Cambridge English B2 First 142 overall, Cambridge English B2 First For Schools 142 overall, Occupational English Test (OET) Grade D or higher in all 4 skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
 •  Prepares, produces, and bakes pastries, breads, rolls, pies, and some desserts.
 •  Sets time and speed controls for mixing machines, or blending machines, so that ingredients will be mixed
or cooked according to instructions.
 •  Maintains and adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures proper storage and
refrigeration.
 •  Assess the quality of raw materials before baking.
 •  Cleans, breaks down, and puts away/cleaning all baking equipment including ovens, mixers, proofers,
floors, freezer, and refrigerators.
 •  Keep spoilage/waste to a minimum by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and rotating products.
 •  Innovative and creative in providing quality baked goods to meet the satisfaction of our guests.
 •  Decorate baked products using glaze, icing, and other toppings to achieve a finished appearance.
 •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
 •  A ‘can do’ attitude to perform duties as required by the business.
COOK / PASTRYCOOK'S ASSISTANT (5 positions) - Location: Napier

YOU MUST HAVE:
 •  A positive attitude.
 •  A passion and Commitment for food quality, consistency, service, and cleanliness.
 •  A strong work ethic with a proven record of reliability and staying power.
 •  At least 3 year' of cooking experience in busy kitchens, OR a relevant qualification at level 4 or above.
 •  ** From an English-speaking country: Canada, Ireland, UK or the USA, and you spent at least 5 years
working or studying in one of these countries or in Australia or NZ, you will need to complete an

approved English language test. Alternatively: ** If the migrant is not from one of these countries the low skilled worker will be required to meet a min
standard of English through one of the following: Level 4 IELTS, TOEFLIBT 31 overall, PTE Academic 29

 •  Good references and good communication skills and works well within a team.
 •  In general, A Cook's jobs are to ensure food safety; to be involved in planning menus; to cook food; to

operate kitchen appliances; to reordering stock & food supplies incl. storing all food properly; to inform
wait staff about daily specials; to ensure appealing plate presentation incl. arranging & garnishing dishes, to ensure customer satisfaction; etc.

FOR ALL THE POSITIONS ABOVE, YOU MUST BE: Able to work 30 plus hours per week including weekends, evenings, and Public Holidays as the role requires.

 •  The minimum hours: 30 hours per week.
 •  The salary range for the positions: $30.00 per hour.
