Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Precast Concrete Engineer to join our dynamic team in Otaki. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of precast concrete technology, including reinforcing, concrete mixes, testing procedures, drawing specifications, design principles, QA/QC processes, and client interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with design teams to develop precast concrete solutions that meet project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis and interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform material testing and analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Oversee quality assurance processes throughout the production lifecycle, including inspections, testing, and documentation.
• Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external clients.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to address concerns and ensure project success.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and safety.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, NZCE or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in precast concrete engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of reinforcing techniques, concrete mixes, and testing procedures.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus.
