We are looking for General Manager/Duty Manager /2 Nepalese cook , This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the hospitality industry. The successful applicant will ensure that the high level of service at the venue is maintained and bring a strong level of hospitality professionalism to the role.

General Manager

$28-$35 per hour
Hospitality experience required.
Minimum of 20/30hours per week

Job Description

To support the business in the efficient & effective service ; To recruit & train the FOH team in all elements of their roles & progress the capability of the team as a whole; To lead by example in a polite & professional manner, always seeking a suitable solution for all to be satisfied; To be personally multifunctional, flexible & utilise the team to it’s best advantage, through cross training & direct management
Maintain a clean & tidy working environment, in line with current H&S standards
Offer a supportive role to team members, guiding them forwards for the greater good of the business as a whole. Personal Responsibilities

Discover customer needs and appropriately suggests product with every customer to enhance service and meet sales goals
Addresses needs of special events or bookings personally to ensure all guests receive optimum service for their needs.
Manages booking system to endeavour to fulfil all guest requests.

Provides quality Food & Beverage offering consistently for all customers

Develop wine / drinks lists ongoing to stay on-trend, working with suppliers to ensure best pricing & availability. Business is targeted at 30% cost of sale averaged across the listing.
Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products, & ensure preparation areas are cleaned down regularly as these are guest facing areas.

Maintains Quality operations
Follows policy and procedures for service standards of all F&B.
Ensures cleaning tasks are completed in accordance with the duty rosters and cleaning standards, and works as a supportive team leader.
Presents oneself professionally and demonstrates clear communication with all customer and team interactions.
Contributes to profitability
Follows cash handling procedures and cash register policies, ensuring maximum revenue capture
Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines, ensuring proper stock rotation

Contributes to goals for increasing sales and improving profits, driving team members with incentives & training / support on the job.
Supports the greater development of the team through recruitment of new team members based on skill shortages & needs of the business / seasonality.
Learns and demonstrates all performance standards listed in the House rules through ‘Leading by Example’.
Supports & maintains performance standards for the Waiter/Server roles, across all employees

2 Nepalese cook

Preparing and cooking dishes according to the restaurant standerd
Maintaining hygiene standar
Assist Head Chefs to ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system
Work with the chef to maintain kitchen organization
Work in an orderly and disciplined manner in the kitchen during working hours.
know how to wrap momos (dumplings)
Follow the food control plan provided
Collaborate closely with other staff members
Any other tasks delegated by the director or chef or duty manager to run day-to-day restaurant and bar operation
Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including food preparation, and dish plating.

Candidate requirements:
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years in indo-nepalese cusine

Willing to work on weekends
Have a can-to-do attitude and good work ethic
MINIMUM: 30 HRS A WEEK
PAY: From $ 26-30 per hours as experience and skilled

APPLICANT must have NZ resident or citizenship or a valid work permit to work in the position. We would be keen to train interested NZ citizens or resident visa holders if you have some experience in the relevant field.

Duty Manager

Responsibilities

Helping to coordinate the operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts
Motivating junior front of house team members
Meeting and greeting customers and organising table reservations
Advising customers on menu and wine items
Serving customers, clearing tables and cleaning where necessary
For this role you need to;
Have excellent customer service and communication skills
Have motivational and leadership skills
Have positive attitude and outgoing personality
Be polite, friendly and helpful
