Full Job Description
This is a 12 month fixed term contract initially with scope for permanency
We are working with a leading Civil contractor who has won the contract for a Grid connected Battery Energy Storage System Project south of Auckland
Project will involve the provision of Civil, Electrical & Construction Management services for a grid-connected Battery Energy Storage System Project
The Storage facility will house grid connected battery packs
The Project consists of the construction of numerous XL Mega Battery Packs with transformers, switch rooms and associated cabling and grid connection
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, budget, and timeline.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams to deliver high-quality workmanship.
• Implement effective project management methodologies to mitigate risks and resolve issues as they arise.
• Coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure seamless integration of construction activities.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in construction management, preferably with a focus on infrastructure projects.
• Comprehensive understanding and practical application of delay, disruption notices, EOT, and variations (3910).
• Solid background in concrete/structural construction, with hands-on experience in managing large-scale projects.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
