He Korero mo te turanga - About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and engaging Registered Nurse. Our current CNM is retiring so we are looking for a nurse manager who has experience in nursing leadership, vision, and drive. This role is for a Clinical Nurse Manager position in a busy Paediatric ward at Tauranga Hospital.
This is a 22-bed inpatient ward, providing acute medical and surgical services, there is also a Child Assessment Unit (CAU) and a Paediatric Day Stay Unit. This is a skilled team dedicated to patient-centred care and we need a leader who shares our passion and value for this combined specialty ward.

He Korero mou - About You

You will be a dynamic leader, problem solver and critical thinker who also has:

 •  Significant experience (5+ years plus) in acute paediatric hospital nursing.
 •  Proven ability and experience as a Nurse Coordinator, Leader, or Manager.
 •  Exceptional communication skills with the ability to support patients, whanau, and staff and to develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
 •  Have a passion for utilising the individual skills and attributes of the team to build on a work environment that fosters collaboration, service resilience and excellence in care.
 •  Passion for developing and bringing out the best in others.
 •  An intention for ensuring an operationally safe and evidenced based practice environment in partnership with patients and Whanau to achieve their health goals.
 •  Experience in change management is desirable to continue a review of the model of care.
 •  A determination to work with Maori to address inequities in the service.
 •  Demonstrate an understanding of business ethic and leadership.
